We all know that planning a wedding can be a lot of work! There’s a lot of advice out there and sometimes it’s hard to know what’s good advice and what’s not. After photographing countless weddings, I’ve put together several simple tips, based on my experience, that will help you stay on track and rock your wedding day timeline.
I hope that you find this information helpful. If you enjoy it, I’d love to hear what you liked best about it. Please feel free to pass these tips on to anyone you know who might find it helpful.
Alright, let’s get started!
FIND YOUR WEDDING STYLE
We know – you’re probably figuring out where you should even start. We’ve got you covered. Take the Style Quiz. It’s a fun way to help zero in on your vibe. Once, complete, you have your very own Wedding Vision.
KEEP ORGANIZED
Not sure what to do when? No sweat – We’ve put together a checklist for you, and it’s totally customizable. So if Uncle Jeff is officiating, we’ll take “find an officiant” off your list. Plus, our budgeter will help you track your overall spending and how much you’ve put toward each detail.
COMPILE YOUR TEAM
After gathering info (budget, location, guest count) Vendor hunting away we go…
The Venue, Photographer, Videographer, Entertainment, Wedding Planner, Gowns, Flowers, Suit, Wedding Party Attire, Hair and Makeup Artist, Shoes, Hotel, Wedding Rings, Stationery, Rentals, Catering, Cake, Officiant, Honeymoon.
MANAGE YOUR REGISTRY
Now for the fun part: “Your Registries”. Your people will want to shower you with gifts from “we’re engaged” to your wedding day, so keep your wish list fully stocked right from your phone. And if you’d rather have money to put toward your honeymoon or home downpayment, start your cash registry.
GET YOUR DAY – OF TIMELINE
As you check off to-dos (so satisfying, right?) you will be able to create a detailed day-of timeline. Share it with your selected professionals and wedding party and VIPs. This way, everyone knows when it’s all going down, and you can focus on enjoying some champagne and having a blast with your people.
I know it is a lot to take in all at one all a once…This is what it takes to plan for a perfect wedding.
I promise not only to give you clarity but to help motivate and inspire you.
As mentioned above, we will start with your wedding vision so keep an eye out for my next email to you.
Enjoy,
Nick “here to help” Khamis
