Jessica + Stephen – Point Pleasant NJ Beach Engagement Photos

I had an amazing and wonderful time getting to know Jessica + Stephen as I had the honor to capture the most treasured moments of the engaged couple as they prepare to set forth in planning their wedding. We started out on the beach at Point Pleasant, NJ and then worked our way around the Jenkinson’s Boardwalk where I learned that Jessica & Stephen first met down at the Jersey Shore. This couple was fun to work with, they were down to earth, willing to take my creativity and feed off of my staging/posing, which ignited their glowing love of one another. Point Pleasant NJ Beach Engagement Photo SessionThis past Wednesday evening was filled with skee ball, ice cream, sand, ocean, sunlight, sunset and smiles. After having this intimate engagement photo session I am now more excited for Jessica + Stephen to tie the knot in October at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, NJ as I already know we will have another amazing time but this time it will be even better.  Jessica + Stephen hired Ultimate Party Central for their main source of entertainment, UPC will be providing mutli-media plasma screens, ambient led uplighting room decor, custom monograms and all will captured by Kevin one of our lead videographers and myself Tara as their primary photographer.

Here is a small factoid about Jenkinson:
Charles Jenkinson acquired property in Point Pleasant beach and open the Jenkinson Pavilion in 1928. Charles Jenkinson passed away in 1937 and his son Orlo took over the business. In 1970’s Pasquale “Pat” Storino, a juke box and arcade games dealer struck a deal with the jenkinson holdings and expanding to what we now see today.

The importance of an Engagement Session:
Why is it important to take engagement photos with your photographer prior to your big wedding day?   There are many reasons why to take pictures and trust me it is not a waste of time to you or your photographer.  This gives the photographer & the couple a chance to learn about one another, such as personalities, style of photographs that intrigues you, poses & angles you like; even down to the poses you don’t like; as communication is key.  Picking your location to take your engagement photos should have some symbolism, just like with Jessica + Stephen they chose the New Jersey beach and boardwalk because this is where they first met, but you can have your engagement session any where you feel comfortable, such as parks, colleges, city sky lines, museums, amusement parks, ponds, lakes, river, etc. It is also important to chose the right clothes, we ask that you consult with us prior to your session so we can give you ideas and make sure you bring the right accessories such as sunglasses, blankets, outfits, hats, roses peddles, campaign, etc. to make the engagement photography experience fun unique & personal.  Knowing and liking your photographer is an important bonus to have prior to your wedding day as you have so many other things to worry about on your once in a lifetime occasion and in the end you will not regret setting up this practice run as it will payoff on your wedding day and beyond. Our talented staff’s passion and dedication show through the timeless images we capture in each and every special moment of your unforgettable day.
